How Does Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ Work?

A patent-pending design, Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ is the solution for easily setting up cold bars in a foodservice environment. Food pans fashioned with a special rim lock into place on spacer bars that run the length of the cold bar. The Fit Perfect™ collection is made from the same resin-coated aluminum embraced by many foodservice operators. Aluminum gets cold faster and stays cold longer than stainless steel traditionally used on cold bars.

Like all other pieces from Bugambilia®, Fit Perfect™ is available in 23 colors. It features a new finish called Mod that’s sleek and smooth, which is in contract to the Classic collection’s playful, rough finish.

Also like the Classic collection, each piece of Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ is NSF-certified. Slightly rounded edges and corners lead to a lack of 90° angles. That’s a good thing because it helps to earn NSF certification due to the inclination for food to get stuck in those 90° corners.  NSF is a sought-after food industry credential indicating that certified products are as safe for foodservice use as you can get. Another feature operators will enjoy is the stackable nature of Fit Perfect™, which is a feature the Classic line doesn’t have. We recommend storing clean, empty Bugambilia® containers in the walk-in cooler so they’re already cold when you’re ready to use them. Most folks are pretty tight on spare walk-in space, so being able to stack your containers (about 4-6 containers at a time) will save a good amount of room.

Further, being able to stack Fit Perfect™ food pans is helpful during prep. You’ll save room in your prep space, and can also better consolidate when moving your filled Fit Perfect™ food pans from the back- to the front-of-the-house.

Easily Adjust Your Cold Bar Configuration Any Time

The flexibility provided by the spacer and gap bars allow operators to experiment with new layouts without incurring extra cost. You may want to highlight a lower food-cost item, play around with the order of ingredients to see if you can improve your throughput capabilities, or incorporate extra seasonal ingredients. It’s up to you, and Fit Perfect™ gives you the creative license to do it.

Tiles are a great cold bar system, but to reconfigure your setup with these tools, you have to keep a few extra tiles on-hand. If you’re limited on space, or you only want to reconfigure a couple times a year, the extra room and cost requirements may not make sense.

Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™’s spacer and gap bars give operators total freedom to reconfigure their setups whenever they like. The spacer bars are designed to rest on the ledges of the cold bar. They don’t use notches to hold them in certain places, so you can place them as close or as far apart as needed.

Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ Uses Special Rim to Lock Into Place

The ability of the food pans to lock into place is perhaps one of the most exciting features of Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™. It’s a well-conceived design.

The resin-coated aluminum food pans are equipped with a lip around the rim that fits over a slightly raised edge on the spacer bar, locking the food pan into place. Another useful feature of the food pans is that the lip around the rim stops at each corner. This allows for easy lifting out of a cold bar.

A lot of cold bar setup options, like stainless steel, don’t have an easy-lift corner. These products are notorious for getting stuck together, requiring staff to use a spatula or spoon to remove food pans from the cold well. So Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ not only does an excellent job of locking into place, it’s also easy to remove when the time comes.

The inclusion of a gap bar is also very smart because it builds in even more adaptability to the overall design. Let’s say you’ve reconfigured your cold bar in such a way that you’re left with an area that’s covered by either a food pan or a spacer bar. Just pop in a gap bar to seal up your design and keep your cold air where it belongs. They’re stocked in 5 sizes: 1”-3” in half-inch intervals. Custom sizes are also available.

The gap bars essentially ensure that the complete system locks into place regardless of how it’s been set up. Broadly speaking, we can safely say that this easy cold bar system has earned it’s Fit Perfect™ name.

Use Bubambilia® Fit Perfect™ to Improve the Look of Your Cold Well

Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ Only Requires Minimal Measuring

Most current cold wells are made in standard sizes designed to fit with gastronome-sized stainless steel food inserts. Another benefit of Bugambilia® Fit Perfect™ is that they’re also made in the same standard gastronome sizes. For operators, this means that they could take one of their existing stainless food pans and replace it with a Fit Perfect™ and it would slide right on in.

This means that for most cold wells, the only measurements you’d need to supply are length and width of your cold well. Other systems often require much more extensive measuring, which some operators may not want to spend their time on.

If you need recessed pans, as are required by several municipalities as a food safety measure, you’ll just need to supply a bit more information to get what you need.
